Hewlett-Packard announced that they TouchPad tablet will be released to the market with prices ranging from $ 500, or the same as Apple’s iPad 2. Similarly, as reported by the Telegraph on Saturday (11/06/2011).
The plan, the TouchPad will begin to be marketed in the United States, France and Germany on July 1. While countries such as Ireland, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore still have to wait longer. HP will begin to pre-order on June 19 for the 16GB and 32GB models.
First introduced in February, HP brags that TouchPad tablet capable of being number one, beating the iconic Apple tablet, iPad.
“In the PC world, with the difference in HP products and competitors, we became number one. In the world of tablets, we will be better than number one holder of the throne. We call it the number one plus,” said HP’s European Senior Vice President Eric Cador at a press conference in Cannes, last May.
Although not articulated bluntly, it’s no secret that the current iPad tablet is still a best-selling worldwide.
TouchPad with its 9.7-inch screen will use webOS operating system, which ranks fifth OS market. As is known, the OS market is currently dominated by Apple’s IOS and Google’s Android.
